- What kind of warranty comes with the DFX?
- This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damages caused by faulty installation (i.e. grounding out the unit) or damages as a result of misuse and/or tampering with the unit.
- Does the DFX plug into the vehicles computer (ECM)?
- No, the unit attaches to the main fuel line on the motor. Steel, copper, and pvc/plastic lines are acceptable. The unit will not work on a rubber shielded hose.
- Do I have to drop my fuel tank?
- No, there is no need to drop the tank as the fuel line is accessible from the engine compartment.
- How much MPG improvement can I expect?
- You can expect 11%-25% improvement on most applications. This unit was designed for commercial applications that travel a minimum of 100 miles a day.
- How long does it take for the unit to pay for itself?
- The average return on your investment is about 8-12 weeks, but depends on the price per gallon of fuel & the number of miles driven.
- What if I want to return the DFX?
- You have 30 days from the date of purchase to return the DFX unit in its original packaging for a complete refund, less shipping & handling.
- Are there different DFX units for various diesel motors?
- No. Different applications will have a different amount of loops installed with the system.
- Can the DFX unit be used on a gasoline engine?
- No. Diesel fuel is less refined and more heavier than gasoline, therefore making the xciting process different. The gas xciter is still under development and will be available early 2009.
- Who should use the DFX unit?
- The DFX unit can be used on all types of diesel applications from passenger vehicles to heavy duty construction equipment. It also will work on all diesel marine equipment and generators.
- Does the DFX unit cause more exhaust soot?
- No. The unit is designed to burn the fuel more efficiently and reduce the amount of excess carbon released into the exhaust system.
- Does the DFX unit lower emissions?
- Yes, it can lower emissions by up to 20% and at the same time lowering your exhaust temperatures by up to 200 degrees.
